It all started with a snap of the bra...

I was in 7th grade when they still called it Jr. High (Hello 70's). You know what an awkward age that is. To top it off, the boys liked to snap my bra strap because....how can I put this.....I was advanced in a certain area. What does this have to do with menopause and weight loss?

You start out with confidence in life. To be honest, my self esteem probably started to tank before the bra snapping incidents, but they didn't improve the way I felt about myself. Add to that, the media telling us how we "should" look.

Remember, I grew up in the era of Twiggy and Farrah Fawcett posters plastered on every guy's bedroom wall. Who can live up to that?

Add menopause on top of an already bruised self image and you feel as low as the gum stuck to the bottom of a shoe. BUT, there is good news.

Those thoughts about yourself CAN change. I promise. When you start to change the way you feel about yourself, you're more willing to eat and move in ways that care for your body instead of punishing it like you have for years.

Is there one nice thing you can start saying to yourself every day until you believe it? Even if all you can muster up is, “I have a body," that's a good place to start. Once you believe that statement, add another one. Take your time, but keep going for as long as it takes for you to believe it.

If you want to start caring for yourself like the "hot" woman you are (no pun intended), schedule a FREE call so you can get started!
