How Do I Know if I'm Doing it Right?

I teach women to listen to their bodies in order to know when they're truly hungry. I also teach them how to know when they've eaten enough food.

Think about babies. They totally rely on their bodies to let them know when it's time to eat. If you've been trying to lose weight for a while, you may have forgotten how to do that.

Constant dieting teaches you to do the exact opposite of relying on your body, even though you came with a built in system that can do just that. Diets rely on things outside of you like calorie counting or eating on a schedule. They usually take away your favorite foods too!

That's why I created the "No More Guesswork in Menopause Guide." It teaches you exactly how to rely on your body to know when to start and stop eating. When women use the guide, they often want to know if they're "doing it right."

The only way to know is to keep experimenting. Every woman's hunger is different and so many factors affect it from day to day; hormones, sleep, hydration, just to name a few.

You'll know you're doing it right if your energy levels are good and if your body feels good after you've eaten. If you have to dig out the Tums every time you eat or overeating keeps you up at night, you probably need to tweak the amount or type of food you're eating.

Keep going and know that your hunger will vary from day to day. Above all, don't go hungry! Your brain will think you're on another diet. Give your brain the reassurance that you'll feed your body when it needs food. As you lose weight, you may need to adjust your eating slightly, for your new, lower weight.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
